GameMaker 6.0 / 6.1a Vista+ Patch - The Crystal Website

Game Maker 6.0 and 6.1a, both stopped working on Windows Vista and above; this is primarily because the binary is packed using ASProtect;
an anti-reverse engineering tool meant to make cracking the software and just modifying it in general more difficult,

I have reverse-engineered it and modified it to remove this; which allows it to run on not just Windows Vista,
but also working all the way up to Windows 11,

games created using this version will also work with newer versions of windows.
the solution for this is the exact same as the one used by Mark Overmars in the "6.1 Vista Converter"

installation for this is as simple as just copying the new GameMaker 6.0 or 6.1 .exe and rundata files,
over the original ones in your GM6 installation folder (usually located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Game_Maker6")
